According to the official schedule approved by the Prime Minister of Vietnam, the 2026 Tet Holiday will last for 9 consecutive days:
Holiday Duration: February 14, 2026 (Dec 27th Lunar Calendar) – February 22, 2026 (Jan 6th Lunar Calendar).
Office Reopening: February 23, 2026 (Jan 7th Lunar Calendar).
For urgent travel during the 2026 Lunar New Year, the Visa on Arrival (VOA) process is the most reliable way to “beat the clock”:
Submit Information Online: Visit our [Visa on Arrival Application Page], select, and choose your required processing speed.
Receive Approval Letter: Once approved, we will email you an official Visa Approval Letter (with a red seal) issued by the Vietnam Immigration Department.
Prepare Entry Documents:
Printout: A hard copy of the Approval Letter (PDF) in black/white or color.
Photos: Two (2) passport-sized (4x6cm) photos with a white background.
Cash (Stamping Fee): $25 USD for single entry or $50 USD for multiple entry.
Form: A completed “Entry and Exit Form” (provided with your approval letter).
Pick Up at Airport: Upon arrival at major international airports (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, etc.), proceed to the “Visa On Arrival / Landing Visa” counter to receive your visa sticker before passing through immigration.
Best for: Those who already submitted an application on the official website and have a Registration Code, but the status is stuck at “Pending.”
Best for: Those who haven’t applied yet, or whose original visa has errors (wrong passport number/name) and needs a total re-issue.
